Welcome to the Salisbury FTTH project. I’m still learning how blogging works and setting up this site so bear with me just a little bit longer. My intention is to use this as a way to keep you up to date on what’s happening and hopefully will be able to keep this updated fairly regularly.  I hope to cover everything from construction progress to explaining decisions that we are having to make, almost on a daily basis. Quite a few decisions have already been made and I’ll make an attempt to go back and explain what those decisions were and why we made them the way we did. I also hope to use this as a way to provide some explanation of what the city is trying to accomplish and how the system will work.

There are also going to be other people contributing posts such as Mark Parr, project manager for Atlantic Engineering (AEG). AEG is the contractor the city is using to design and build our fiber plant. So some days there may be more than one post, then there may be some days when there won’t be any.

Right now I am going to allow comments, mainly as a way for you to ask questions. So if you have a question, send a comment. You can also ask a question by sending me an email. My email address is mcrow@salisburync.gov. If I receive a question as an email, I will answer it by posting back to this site, this way everyone benefits from everyone’s questions. If you have an issue that you want to discuss, it will  be better if you just give me a call. I will probably be able to respond much quicker to a call than through this site.
